The Learning Compass
Individualized Learning
Plan (ILP)
At The Learning Compass, we believe every child’s educational journey should be as unique as they are. Our Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) is a fully customized roadmap designed to unlock each student’s full potential by tailoring instruction to their specific needs, strengths, and learning styles.
What Sets Our ILP Apart?
We begin with a comprehensive evaluation to understand your child’s academic abilities, learning preferences, and personal interests. Based on this assessment, we set clear, achievable goals that align with their strengths and address their challenges.
Why Choose The Learning Compass?
At The Learning Compass, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all education.
We believe in YOUR child’s success—on their own path, at their own
pace, and with the right support.
The 4 Compass Points of Learning Compass™
Compass Point Focus Areas
Direction | Focus Area | Key Question | Purpose |

North (Nurture) | Social-Emotional & Family Dynamics | What is the child’s emotional world and home life like? | Understand how relationships, routines, and emotions shape the child’s learning. |
East (Engage) | Interests, Strengths & Learning Style | What excites this child? How do they learn best? | Identify motivators, passions, and optimal learning modalities (visual, kinesthetic, etc.). |
South (Support) | Academic History & Gaps | Where does the child struggle or need reinforcement? | Assess academic baselines, identify gaps, and determine intervention needs. |
West (Widen) | Enrichment & Real-World Connection | How can we expand this child’s learning beyond school? | Integrate hobbies, community involvement, and cultural relevance to foster meaningful learning. |
